Terms & Conditions
You Should Know
Throughout the site, quotes, invoices, valuation certificates and any other platform or document that is a clear representation of Beaudell Designs Pty (Ltd), the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Beaudell Designs Pty Ltd, Trading as Beaudell Jewellery. When visiting our website or studio and purchasing any item from us, you participate in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”). These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including but without limiting users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and contributors of content.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website/shop/studio. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, your access to our website or use of our services is at our discretion.
The most current version of the Terms of Service will be available at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to our website. The responsibility, therefore, lands on you to check this page periodically for any amendments. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
We recommend you take advantage of the availability of the updates and have all Terms and Conditions inspected every six months.
Warranties shall be null, and void should any other jeweller repair or modify an item purchased.
Our items are all carefully drafted by our Beaudell Designs experts, we, therefore, hold the right to all our CAD or Hand Sketched designs, as it remains our intellectual property. We reserve the rights to reuse and compile any of our designs in such a way that appeals to any future commissioned work or range. To share these images or renders on our website and any social media platform also remains our right.
Your Beaudell Designs jewellery comes with a standard six month stone replacement guarantee on small stones, excluding center stones. The warranty applies for stones smaller than 0.03ct, due to the delicate nature of the setting techniques used. We recommend checking your center setting regularly for any movement. If the ring starts catching on clothing or cloths this could mean a claw has opened up and could cause the stone to pop out. Should this happen we advise to refrain from wearing the item and bring it in immediately. In the unlikely event of a small stone popping out of the setting, please contact us for replacement and a full check of your jewellery item.
Specific to rings, even if the size is a bit loose or too snug, we could resize most rings up to one or one and a half sizes bigger or smaller. Kindly keep in mind that the integrity of the ring gets compromised for each sizing. To which we would suggest limiting resizing to a maximum of three times within the ring's lifetime. We always recommend trying to make sure of the ring size prior to manufacturing, as resizing could result in compromising the security of the stones. Should a stone pop out after resizing, Beaudell will not be held liable to carry the costs of repair. An additional fee for every resizing will apply, and your sales consultant will communicate this with you prior to the work being carried out.
Kindly note that if the jewellery item is taken to another jeweller for a repair or a polish and cleaning, the warranty on your piece will be suspended and Beaudell Designs Pty Ltd will not be held responsible for any damages occurring thereafter.
It is of utmost importance to keep in mind that even though jewellery items are expensive, they are not indestructible. Please make sure that you bring your item back every three to six months for a proper service so that we can ensure the stones are nice and secure and all claws are still intact.
MODIFICATIONS OF PRICES + SERVICES
We work on the daily dollar exchange rate to calculate our metal and diamonds. Therefore, our prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service or products.
When having a custom ring designed and manufactured, the correct size is critical. The right size can be measured at any jewellery store, keeping in mind that the brand of equipment used can also affect the outcome of the specific size, much like your shoe size from different stores. We know finding out the exact size of a secret ring is never an easy task. We can assist as much as we can, to not spoil the surprise. Even if the size is a bit loose or too snug, we could resize most rings up to one or one and a half sizes; you should keep in mind that the integrity of the ring gets compromised for each sizing. A tiny mark or colour difference may also appear as the solder used is usually differently alloyed for it to melt at a lower temperature, so we would suggest limiting resizing to a maximum of three times within the rings lifetime.
Some Gemstones are not able to handle excessive heat or tension when resizing, and we may have to remove the stones beforehand. Therefore, your resizing fee will depend on how much labour is needed and what metal your ring is. We will confirm the costing of the resizing before any work starts. Some metals cannot be resized and will have to be remade, such as Titanium, Tungsten Carbide, Carbon Fiber, Wood, Zirconium, etc.
INSPECTION BY THE CUSTOMER
The Customer is expected to inspect all products upon delivery/pickup. Once the delivery note has been signed, you as the customer agree that everything has been received in good order.
DIAMONDS + GEMSTONES
All the diamonds and gemstones used in Beaudell Jewellery designs are natural and therefore have individual carat, cut, colouring and clarity. Within the consultation for commission pieces, we provide a diamond viewing where the client is shown a few options and given detailed information as well as up-close inspection of the stones. This meeting provides us with the time to answer any questions and educate where needed so that the client has the opportunity to make an informed decision. Once a client pays a deposit on the quote for the piece, they agree to the use of the stones that were quoted, based on our terms and conditions. We also offer a contract wherein you can reserve the chosen diamond or gemstone with only a 10% deposit if time is needed to notify your bank to release money from savings accounts or selling of investments. We will not be held responsible for the cost of changing the stone, diamonds, gemstones, in the design, after the quote has been accepted and deposit paid. If through no fault of ours any dispute arises between Beaudell Jewellery and said client.
Beaudell Jewellery's commissioned pieces cannot be exchanged or refunded. We do provide the opportunity for changes before manufacturing by supplying picture-like renders of the item from all angels to which you can address any concerns before production starts.
We strongly recommend that your insurance is in place before the collection of your item. Make sure you have an all-risk policy cover which includes loss, theft, damage and the risk of a stone popping out etc. Upon the collection of the item in the store all risk of ownership passes to you or your appointed agent. Beaudell Jewellery is not liable for any damage incurred after the delivery and recommends the customer insure all products. A valuation certificate will accompany your product through either email or hard copy upon completion of the item. We can also communicate with our insurance company on your behalf for a quote, which you can then choose to accept or decline. The benefits of using our suggested insurance company are that they quote on a yearly fee which is a small percentage of the total price of the item purchased and they obligate you to use us again, should anything happen to your item, which means you receive the exact design you had within the closest possible specifications.
